Ten Pieces Of Advice Whilst In A Midlife Crisis
Take a break and spend some time alone to think through your thoughts,
Write your feelings down so you can separate all your feelings and start making sense of some,
Share your feelings with trusted friends, they may be able to help,
Dont ignore other’s feelings, your upset may affect others,
Find regular ‘You’ time so that you can work on your own needs,
Find a good counsellor who will be an independent & confidential person aswell as someone who will be able to work through your feelings,
Stay positive and remind yourself of all the things you still want to do in your life,
Avoid short term fixes such as alcohol and infidelity, they will make your crisis worse,
Get some time out in the open air & some social time too: keep yourself mentally healthy,
Seek out other’s experiences, friends, collegues and good Internet sites (like this one!)
